Roger Burman Gearing Up for Des Moines Builder’s Choice Awards

Roger Burman and his staff at Lakeside Rods & Rides in Rockwell City, Iowa will be on hand at the 18th Heartland Nationals to hand pick the Builder’s Choice awards. Burman will select ten award winners from the Builder’s Choice parking area which will be open from 8am to 2pm Saturday, July 4th at the Iowa State Fairgrounds.

The highly sought after awards are polished aluminum gauge bezels designed by Lakeside and cut by J & B Microfinish of Pontiac, Illinois.

As a shop they’ve brought home the Goodguys “America’s Most Beautiful Street Rod” title as well as the Street Rod d’Elegance the last two consecutive year’s as well as the Goodguys Custom Rod of the Year. Roger is planning to debut two new cars the weekend after Des Moines at the Goodguys 12th PPG Nationals including a ’67 Camaro that was built as a tribute to Bill “Grumpy” Jenkins as well as a seriously radical ’65 fastback Mustang which features an all tube chassis and a 4.6 Liter Cobra motor sporting twin Kenne Bell screw blowers!
