One More Chance this Season to Run the Street Rod Shootout!

This year’s third and final “Street Rod Shootout” 1/8th mile drags race will be run Saturday, October 17th at the 2nd Nostalgia Nationals, October 16, 17 & 18 at Beech Bend Raceway Park in Bowling Green, Kentucky! The Street Rod Shootout is a special run what ya brung-style 1/8th mile drag race designed for hot rods and street rods entered for the car show side of the Nostalgia Nationals. Two categories will be run; Street Rod and Hot Rod. Keep your ears tuned to the event PA for class calls and further instructions. Entrants will be called to the back of the staging lanes for tech inspection at approximately 11am on Saturday 10/17. Winners will receive a patented Goodguys Hemi Oscar trophy! Remember to bring a helmet too!

Here are the rules for each class. We’ll see you in Bowling Green!
Street Rod Shootout:
Cars (Pre-’73) must be street driven into the event and registered as a show (not race) car only. No race and show entries. All cars must be licensed, registered and insured for street use. Gasoline only. Full and complete interiors with full glass windows and windshield. Full exhaust systems, no open exhaust allowed. DOT rear tires only, maximum 11” tread width. No blowers. No turbos. No NOS. Single carburetion only. No T-bucket roadsters.

Hot Rod Shootout:
Cars (Pre-’73) must be street driven into the event & registered as a show (not race) car only. No race and show entries. All cars must be licensed, registered and insured for street use. Gasoline only. Full and complete interiors with full glass windows and windshield. Full exhaust systems, no open exhaust allowed. DOT rear tires no size limit. Blowers, Turbos & NOS OK. No T-bucket roadsters. 1/8 mile only! No Handicap Start! First one to finish line wins. PRO tree no countdown. No time trials. Round Robin Eliminations.

Safety consummate with potential ET – Tech Decision is Final! Breakout occurs when car runs quicker than it is teched for. All entries must use crash helmets.
