For Speed by Spectre It’s All about Brandy in Columbus!

The 1st annual Goodguys Sponsor Shootout AutoCross will be held Sunday, July 10th @ 9am at the Ohio Expo Center in conjunction with the Goodguys 14th PPG Nationals presented by Bridgestone in Columbus, OH. All 12 Goodguys Autocross sponsors will field entries in the competition.

Speed by Spectre will be represented in the Shootout by one of their own! Twenty-six year old Brandy Morrow, formerly known as “The Cone Killer” will pilot Speed by Spectre’s 2nd Gen “Carbon Camaro.”

A racer since she was just 17, Morrow is a ten-year Autocross veteran who knows her way around the cones! She’s also an experienced NASA road course veteran. When she’s not tearing up the track, she can be found at the Spectre booth on the Midway at most Goodguys shows working alongside her father Mike. She’s also part gear head and part bookworm having graduated from UC Irvine as a Psychology/Social Behavior major!

Brandy’s goal for the 1st annual Sponsor Shootout AutoCross? “To be within 2 seconds of the Pozzis and Tuckers,” she laughed, referring to fellow husband and wife competitors David and Mary Pozzi and Kyle and Stacy Tucker.

Morrow’s car is more than capable of winning the special event. The all black 1970 Camaro (with flared fenders and other custom tricks by Campbell Auto Restoration) features a wickedly potent LS1 equipped with one of Spectre’s cold air intake systems as well as their hpR filters. The Carbon Camaro rides on Hotchkis suspension (including front and rear anti-sway bars and Hotchkiss’ Max Handle Bars) with Eibach front shocks, Detroit Speed rear leaf springs and QA-1 double adjustable rear shocks. The wheels are Forgeline S03P (18”X11” f and 19”X13” r) wrapped in Kumho XS rubber.
